Making a claim
I purchased my policy through Alcumus Insurance Services, how do I make a claim?
All claims are handled by the underwriter of your policy. The contact details can be found within your policy wording.
- If your claim is regarding a public liability policy underwritten by Zurich, you can contact them 24/7 on 0800 302 9055
- If your claim is regarding a tools insurance policy underwritten by Zurich, you can register tools details online
- If your claim is regarding a personal accident policy underwritten by Zurich, you can register personal accident details online

I'm not sure which brand my insurance policy is under, how do I make a claim?

I need to submit a claim, what personal information do I need to have to hand?
This is not an exhaustive list but most insurers will require:
- Your name and company details
- Your policy number (found on your certificate of insurance or policy schedule)
- Your contact details (name and phone number)
- The name and contact details of any claimant
I need to submit a claim, what incident details do I need to have to hand?
This is not an exhaustive list but most insurers will require:
- Date, time and place of the incident
- How it occurred
- Names of witnesses and people involved
- Damage to property (if applicable)
- Estimated cost of repairs to property damage (if applicable)
I need to submit a claim, what injury details do I need to have to hand?
This is not an exhaustive list but most insurers will require:
- Contact details of injured party
- Nature of injury
- Hospital details (if necessary)
- Date returned to work
I’ve submitted my claims information, what happens next?
Once you provide all the information to your underwriter, they will:
- advise you about the next steps
- provide you with an immediate solution to the claim situation e.g. arrange for your car to be taken to an authorised repairer
- proactively keep you or your broker informed about the progress of the claim
- proactively manage third parties (anyone claiming against you, as a Zurich Insurance plc policyholder can also contact us on 02920 029564)
- work towards settling the claim as quickly as possible.
